Former Apple Executive Will Lead J.C. Penney

The department store chain has named Ron Johnson, who pioneered Apple Inc.'s retail stores, its next chief executive. He will succeed Myron Ullman III in November. Johnson was credited with developing Apple's popular Genius Bar, where customers can get hands-on technical support. He will report to Ullman, who will become executive chairman.
