Smith, Palma VPs at Globe Express

Third-party logistics provider Globe Express Services has named Bill Smith vice president U.S. sales & marketing; and Richard Palma vice president sales & development, Latin America.

Bill Smith, who came to GES in 1996 as a sales representative, most recently lead the company's marketing and supply chain services effort, playing a key role in both building the GES brand and in consistently securing new business. Smith also regularly represents GES as an expert guest speaker at numerous events and contributing supply chain-related articles and commentary to various trade publications.
 
Richard Palma came to Globe Express Services with more 15 years of experience in multi-cultural sales, business development and operational leadership, earned while working in senior management roles with several top 10, global third party logistics providers. Palma's experience includes trade lane, channel/vertical development and related sales management in all major global logistics disciplines, including ocean, air, intermodal, 4PL, etc. In addition, he has worked for several major shippers, where he honed his skills in supply chain, distribution and inventory management. Palma, who speaks Spanish and Portuguese, also has deep global business experience with an inter-Americas focus, including Mexico, the Caribbean, and nearly all of Central and South America.
