Davis, Niedermeyer Promoted at Havertys

Haverty Furniture Cos. (NYSE: HVT) has announced two promotions. Greg Davis and Gary Niedermeyer have been named vice presidents and assistant vice president.
Davis was name vice president, information technology development. He began his career as an application developer for an insurance company and then served as a programmer/analyst at Macy's South. Davis joined Havertys in 1990 as a project leader and was promoted to director of development in 1995 and named assistant vice president, information systems development in 2004. He is responsible for all systems and applications used by Havertys and reports to Ed Clary, CIO and senior vice president, distribution.
Niedermeyer was named assistant vice president, supply chain. He has held a variety of positions in distribution operations since joining Havertys in 1987, including operations manager for the company's primary distribution center in Braselton, Ga. Niedermeyer began working with the company's newly formed supply chain team in 2003 and was named director of inventory management/forecasting in 2007 and director of supply chain in 2009. He is responsible for all inventory flow and logistics for Havertys and reports to Scott Miles, vice president, stores and development.
