Professional Marketing Has New Owners

By Home Furnishings Business in Acquisition on May 9, 2011

Two employees have acquired home and gift industry public relations and marketing communications firm Professional Marketing from Diane Carnevale.

Longtime employees Jillian Lambert and Gwen Vryhof, who bought the company, now are partners.

Lambert and Vryhof have extensive professional and academic experience in public relations and marketing communications. Vryhof has worked at Professional Marketing for nearly seven years, beginning as an intern and now assuming a principal role. While working full-time, Vryhof also pursued and received her Master of Science in Communications from Northwestern University. She did her undergraduate work at Calvin College, a liberal arts institution based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

"The feedback we have received regarding this change has been overwhelmingly positive," said Vryhof. "We could not be more thrilled to take on this challenge and to grow, develop, and strengthen the services offered by Professional Marketing."

Lambert, who has worked at Professional Marketing the majority of her professional career, is a graduate of Michigan-based Grand Valley State University, with a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations. She has an array of public relations and marketing communications experience, having worked in a variety of industries, including health, entertainment, and gift and home. She is also a member of Grand Rapids Young Professionals, an organization committed to offering young professionals the opportunity to interact both professionally and socially, and donates her time to assisting non-profit organizations.

"While there is a visible change in ownership, the high quality service clients are used to receiving from Professional Marketing will not change," said Lambert. "We are committed to our clients and to their needs, and we will work hard to build upon Diane€™s legacy."

Lambert and Vryhof will work with Carnevale Jones on current and future client work, industry projects and initiatives, and leading the Gift and Home Trade Association in their respective roles.
