Furniture Brands Sends $130K to Disaster Relief

Furniture Brands International (NYSE: FBN) will donate $130,000 to disaster relief efforts in Missouri and Mississippi in the wake of recent storms.
FBI's Charitable Trust will send $100,000 to the Tupelo, Miss., area. The company has five locations in the state, where Lane Furniture is manufactured. The St. Louis area, home to FBI's corporate headquarters will receive $30,000. More than 1,900 people are employed at the company's Mississippi locations and more 200 people are employed at Furniture Brands International's headquarters in Clayton near St. Louis.
"Taking care of our communities where we work and where we live is very important to all of us at Furniture Brands," said Ralph Scozzafava, CEO. "Our hearts and prayers go out to the families that have been impacted by these terrible storms and we wanted to help in any way we can with the recovery efforts."
More than 1,900 people are employed at the company's Mississippi locations and more 200 people are employed at Furniture Brands International's headquarters in Clayton, Missouri.
