Retailer Art Van Furniture Offers Art's Backyard

Home furnishings retailer Art Van Furniture is taking the indoors outside with its Art's Backyard merchandising strategy.
With the arrival of spring Art Van is providing more than 1,000 items for outdoor living. Art Van Elslander, Art Van founder and chairman, said today's outdoor products are engineered to hold up better to the outdoor elements.
"That means outdoor furniture will look as good in 20 years as it does today with no or low maintenance," said Art Van Elslander, Art Van Furniture founder and chairman, "plus, there has never been a wider selection of sectional sofas with deep seats, oversized chairs, ottomans with extra storage, coffee tables and end tables, plus accessories to match the fabric on the cushions of on the furniture."
Art's Backyard has the looks and quality of the expensive high end catalogs at Art Van prices and features the largest in-stock outdoor furniture in the state, with more than a 1,000 items including collections from Michigan made Lloyd/Flanders and Woodard as well as Jimmie's Rustics and Treasure Garden Inc.
The Warren, Mich., retailer sees chat groups or fire bowl sets as the hottest items for this summer.
"They're perfect on a patio, deck or backyard and can be both a table or an atmospheric feature," said Jim Sica, director of seasonal products for Art Van/ Art's Backyard.
