Groovystuff Will Host Refined Rustic Living Seminar

By Home Furnishings Business in High Point on March 18, 2011

Reclaimed teak furniture vendor Groovystuff will host two experts in refined rustic lifestyles for a lunch seminar during High Point Furniture Market next month.

Designer Allen Halcomb of luxury rustic home builder MossCreek and Montana outdoorsman, artist and home furnishings licensor Dick Idol will share their outlook for the design needs of today's luxury mountain homeowners and vision for refined rustic living on Sunday, April 3, noon-1 p.m., in Groovystuff's showroom on the ground floor of the Suites at Market Square, space 1028. The event targets interior designers serving luxury, mountain, lake and rustic resort communities.

Halcomb will share the modern architectural trends preferred by MossCreek's high end clientele and the opportunity they present to interior designers serving or wanting to serve this market. The company's projects range throughout the United States, as well as South America, Europe and Russia. The most frequently-asked question following the completion of their luxury homes, says Halcomb, is, "How can I make the inside of our home look as stunning as the outside?"

To help him answer this question, Halcomb has solicited the cooperative efforts of the Dick Idol Brand partners.

"The Dick Idol brand of home furnishings allows for diversity in home decor, yet the synchronization between the brand partners makes it all look seamless," says Halcomb. The Dick Idol Brand Partners include unique furniture and home decor constructed of reclaimed teak from Groovystuff, furniture from Shadow Mountain, area rugs from Surya, bedding and tabletop textiles from Silverado Home, as well lighting, accessories, wall decor, and accent furniture from Crestview Collection.

Idol and Halcomb both will be available to answer questions at the conclusion of the luncheon. To RSVP, e-mail or call 214.956.0536.
