Raymond Waites Joins K.F. Dischley for Film Set Design

Award-winning home fashion designer Raymond Waites has joined film company K.F. Dischley Group to lead its new set design and decoration department.
"From wall coverings to everything else under the roof of a home, Mr. Waites has excelled as one of America's great designers," said Lee Andrew Myers, KFD chairman and chief executive officer. "We are honored to welcome Mr. Waites to our company."
Waites' first responsibility is to create an infrastructure for KFD's set design and decoration department and oversee the building of sets for four film projects slated to begin production in March 2011. Waites will bring his creative talents to "find Me." a feature film directed by Scott Pendarvis and produced by Myers; and also "i text U," a feature film directed by Myers and to be filmed in High Point. Following "i text U." Waites will focus on "Summer Camp" and "Wednesday the 11th," both of which are currently in development
The addition of KFD's set design department is the result of the company's rapid growth in the entertainment industry.
Waites will continue to develop his own brand of home furnishings products and serve as CEO of New Vintage Gallery, an innovative design company that supplies home furnishings to clients around the world.
Waites designs have sold well over $4 billion dollars in all areas of the home furnishings industry. Based in High Point, the internationally renowned designer is known for his use of color and settings in showroom and residential design. He has won numerous awards, has written six books, and heads a scholarship fund through the International Furnishings and Design Association, a national trade association that represents furnishings and design professionals.
