By Home Furnishings Business in Community/Charitable Support on December 28, 2010

Restonic Mattress Co. will donate up to $10,000 to three charities during the Las Vegas Furniture Market Jan. 24-28.

Restonic will donate $25 for each attendee visiting the mattress vendor's space to one of three charities during the market: Autism Speaks, Habitat for Humanity and Make A Wish. Each attendee can designate their charity. Restonic's showroom is World Market Center B-926.

"We feel honored that Restonic would include Autism Speaks as one of their designated charities for this upcoming market," said Doug Krinsky, Restonic's sales manager and parent of a child with autism.

Restonic also will unveil a special promotion at this market, for the month of April, during Autism Awareness month. The event will feature a special marketing push with newspaper ads, in store signage and a limited edition Restonic/Autism Speaks bear to anyone that test rests a Restonic bed during the promotion. A donation also will be made for each bed sold by the participating retailer.  Donations also will be taken from consumers at point of sale.

In addition, Roger Magowitz, Charitable Advisor, The Mattress Firm, has signed up to play in a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament to benefit Autism Speaks, whose mission is to increase awareness about the growing Autism epidemic and raise funds for research, family services and advocacy in local communities and nationwide. Donations are also being accepted from non-players, as well. Each $50 donation will receive a raffle entry for prizes that will be awarded at the tournament, including a Tempur-Pedic queen set of bedding, a Restonic queen set of bedding, a Twin X Long Power Base from Leggett and Platt, and more. The winner need not be present to win.
