3 New York Stores Fined

Three Coney Island furniture stores have been fined by New York inspectors for breaking rules, the New York Daily News reported Friday.
The businesses on Surf Avenue received fines totaling $14,500 for lack of written prices, refund policies and layaway plans.
Coney Island Furniture received a $10,500 fine for selling used merchandise without a license and not having a written layaway plan and price tags. Home Decor and Lago Furniture each received $2,000 for a layaway violation.
