Art Van Supports "Toys for Tots"

Art Van Furniture has teamed with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves to install "Toys for Tots" collection bins at all 33 of the furniture retailer's Michigan showrooms.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves has collected and distributed new, unwrapped toys to less fortunate children through Toys for Tots for more than 60 years, including 10 million-plus toys in 2009. Art Van Furniture is a longtime supporter of the annual holiday campaignm the goal of which is to make sure every needy child receives at least one gift under the tree.

"It doesn't take much to put a smile on a child's face," said Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture, Warren, Mich. "We encourage anyone who can donate, to donate."
 
Customers may help by donating a new, unwrapped toy for a child and bring it to any Art Van store until Dec. 14.  Toys will be delivered to local children by Christmas Day. No toy guns please.
