Mattress kit and sleep product supplier VyMaC Corp. has named Steve Holder manager of business development.
His responsibilities include the development of new and existing supply chain solutions business opportunities, identification, development and delivery of new products and innovations for customers in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Scandinavia. Holder reports to VyMaC Vice President of Sales Mike Schweiger.
Holder's 30-year career in the mattress industry began in his family's business, Holder Mattress Company. Before joining VyMaC, Fort Atkinson, Wis., he was vice president of sales and product development at Supreme Quilting in Toronto. As plant manager at Banner Mattress, he supervised the entire Riverside, Calif., manufacturing facility. Holder also oversaw the start up of Southern Dreams Bedding's new Miami, Fla., factory; and worked as an industry consultant for companies such as Vivetique and Eastman House.
"Steve brings fresh eyes and a new set of skills to our strategic planning and business development group," said VyMaC Corp. CEO Dave R. Young. "His diverse experience, product design background, and tremendous understanding of the industry is an asset to our company and we believe he will make quick and significant contribution to our business. By hiring Steve, we have rounded out the strong sales and service team that Mike Schweiger has already established. With many opportunities before us, I look forward to this team's contributions and to increasing the value we bring to our customers."
