Universal Furniture will be giving away 15 iPads to retailers during High Point Furniture Market to retailers visiting the showroom at 2622 Uwharrie Rd.
Starting on Saturday, Universal will give away three iPads each evening through Wednesday. To participate in the drawing, dealers fill out a registration card and drop it in a box in the Universal showroom's marketing room. Winners will be contacted daily to pick up their prize, with one winner per dealer allowed.
Universal Furniture, which produces the licensed Better Homes and Gardens furniture line, along with publisher Meredith Corporation, also will give away an iPad to an attendee at the "Dollar Sense and Savvy Style" seminar on Saturday, from noon to 1:30 p.m. The event, in Ballroom B of the IHFC's Green wing, will include a complimentary box lunch.
Speakers include three members of the Better Homes and Gardens editorial team: Joseph Boehm, senior interior designer; Lacey Howard, group editor; and Kelly Ryan Kegans, assistant deputy editor.
During the session, the speakers will provide insights into how retailers and designers can help consumers create stylish family spaces even on today's tight budgets. They will share tips, trends and research about a frugal chic strategy that enables shoppers to make confident choices while assembling fantastic looks.
Also, Boehm and East Coast Editor Kris Kennedy will make a presentation on emerging home trends.
