Talk about your football fans.
Warren, Mich.-based Gardner-White Furniture stepped in at the last minute last week to ensure area
Detroit Lions' fans could view Sunday's gridiron match with the
St. Louis Rams by buying all remaining tickets to the game.
The move prevented a television blackout and fans who didn't make it to the game watched the Lions defeat the Rams with a 44-6 score.
The retailer then turned around an offered consumers making a purchase two tickets to the game. The retailer also invited consumers to the store to watch the game on each of its big screen televisions in its stores.
"We know how much fans around here love our Lions and we do too," said Steve Tracey, president.
