Adkins to Direct Sam Moore Product Development

Wil Adkins has joined Sam Moore, the custom chair and seating division of Hooker Furniture (NASDAQ-GS: HOFT), in the new position of director of product development and merchandising operations.
In the new position, Adkins will manage the product development process and offer support in both merchandising and sales. Adkin's past experience includes positions with Rowe and Bassett. He graduated from Kendall School of Design.
Adkins reports to Frank Richardson, vice president-sales.
"With Wil's extensive experience in product development, he will be a great asset to Sam Moore and have an immediate positive impact," said Richardson. Adkins is "uniquely qualified to cross over into multiple areas such as merchandising, product development and sales, and his experience with developing all major upholstery categories will be invaluable as Sam Moore strengthens our position in new product categories like the Accommodations modular program."
Retailers will notice Adkins impact through his attention to detail on each item that will create an enhanced value equation throughout our product line, Richardson said.
