Hollandia Making High Point Debut

By Home Furnishings Business in Bedding on September 27, 2010

Luxury sleep systems manufacturer Hollandia International will show for the first time at High Point Furniture Market Oct 16-21.

Israel-based Hollandia will show in the Therapedic showroom--Plaza Suites, space 1-501--to promote its new partnership with Therapedic. The companies will unveil the first designs from the Hollandia Collection for Therapedic since announcing their relationship earlier this year.

"We are very happy that our partnership with Therapedic has allowed us to bring our products to High Point Market for the first time," said Hollandia Interational CEO Avi Barssessat. "This is an important market to tap into and one that we have been looking at for some time. We look forward to growing our relationship and to expanding our businesses together."

The companies announced their joint venture this year and began developing products which leverage Hollandia innovation to be sold throughout the world. Hollandia will open Therapedic stores in cities in Israel in the next year, following Therapedic's successful international operations model to grow the Therapedic brand in Israel.

Both companies will offer the Hollandia Collection for Therapedic in addition to continuing the traditional sales of its products.

"We are excited to be bringing a fresh, new offering to Therapedic customers," said Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic president and CEO. "Hollandia is well known for developing technologies that combine with world-class comfort to create sophisticated, stand out products. We look forward to presenting a range of opportunities to retailers looking to attract a new type of customer to the Therapedic brand."

Making its High Point Market debut is the iCon, designed to work with Apple€™s iPad; the Dual Tech 3D mattress; and new Trio bed base, the first foundation to adjust the head and feet lower than the flat position to arch and stretch the back.

The iCon Bed features an upholstered headboard with fully enclosed speakers, a 250 watt amplifier and docking stations for two iPads.  It is available in more than 200 fashionable colors and fabrics.
