Full-line furniture importer PCH Marketing has partnered with Chinese manufacturer Zhenjiang Buleni Furniture for a vertically integrated upholstery operation.
PCH, High Point, also has launched a new bedroom division with goods sourced in Vietnam.
Zhenjiang Buleni Furniture produces textiles from its 9-year-old suede mill and 5-year-old chenille mill; and finished upholstery from a newly expanded upholstery factory in China. PCH Marketing and Buleni have worked together for the past two years and have completed an agreement to make a vertical operation from textile weaving to completed upholstery. The vertical nature of this partnership will allow the highest possible value in imported upholstery as well as streamlined operations/logistics and communications for the retailer.
Zhenjiang Buelni Furniture is owned and operated by Tina Qin. PCH Marketing is owned and operated by Phillip Hood.
PCH's new bedroom division, "Phillip Charles Home," will introduce eigh bedrooms from Vietnam at the October High Point Furniture Market. The designs, timely and high valued with excellent finishes, will retailfrom $999 to $1,799.
"I have been in the import Bedroom business from the early 1990s developing styles and finishes for a wide range of importers and manufacturers," Hood said. "My efforts have been focused in other categories for the last five years. The return to case goods is based on opportunity at the factory level and need at the retail level."
