Becker Furniture Looks Toward Suburbs for New Store

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on July 16, 2010 Becker Furniture World  is in the process of transitioning into a new location for its Becker Furniture Liquidation Superstore, according to Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal.

The new store will open in early October, and will replace the existing Becker Furniture Liquidation Superstore the retailer opened last year.

The new location is taking over a 32,895-square-foot store that previously housed a PetSmart.

Doug Huseby, founder of the retailer, told the newspaper that the growth in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St. Paul is underserved by Becker, and the new location will benefit the market and the retailer.
