American Furniture and Mattress Liquidates in Pa.

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on June 21, 2010 American Furniture and Mattress, Nazareth, Pa., announced Friday that it will liquidate its entire furniture inventory and close its showroom and warehouse.

"This is a wall-to-wall total liquidation sell-off to allow us to restructure our business," said Robert Hahn, president of the 11-year-old store. "Although I am disappointed by the closing of my current operations, I hope to reorganize in the future."

Hahn added that all open orders from all customers will be filled and the retailer will continue to service all products sold from the store.

The Nazareth store closing liquidation sale will begin on Thursday and continue until all merchandise is sold. Illinois-based furniture industry consultant Deere Park Associates is advising American Furniture and Mattress on the event.
