Little Promoted to VP at Lexington Home Brands

By Home Furnishings Business in Executive Changes on June 2, 2010

Full-line furniture vendor Lexington Home Brands has promoted Chris Little to vice president of human resources. She reports to Phil Haney, president and CEO.

"Since joining Lexington in November of 2006, Chris has done a remarkable job of managing employee development, heath care initiatives, benefits programs, and compliance issues for our operations both domestically and internationally," Haney said. "Her understanding of the business and regulatory issues, combined with her expertise in risk management and cost containment have manifested themselves in a robust and comprehensive benefits program for our employees."

Prior to joining Lexington Home Brands, Chris was human resource manager for Daimler Chrysler and manager of human resources for retailer Target. She is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and received her MBA from Winthrop University. Since joining Lexington, she has obtained her Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and is a member of the Human Resource Management Association of Greensboro, as well as the home furnishings industry's WITHIT organization.

"Coming from large corporate environments, I have found the home furnishings industry to be energizing," Little said. "At Lexington, we produce furniture that any of us would be proud to have in our homes, and the people who make it happen are passionate about the business. While our operational scope is global, the community of Lexington employees is tightly knit. Their talent and tenure speak to the core values that have shaped this company for over a century."
