DiCerchio to Retire as Costco's COO

Costco Wholesale Corp. (NASDAQ: COST) will retire June 4.

"Dick has made invaluable contributions to the growth of our company, having spent 27 years in all facets of our operations, culminating with his positions as senior executive vice president and a member of the board of directors," said Jim Sinegal, Costco's chief executive officer. "Under his leadership, the company has trained and developed a broad and deep team of executives across the globe. Jeff Brotman, I, our board of directors, and our employees are deeply grateful to Dick for all his contributions to our success and wish him a healthy and productive retirement."

DiCerchio will remain a member of the board of directors.
