New Ravenna & McKinnon and Harris Collaborate After Three Decades

New Ravenna and McKinnon and Harris are pleased to announce their first furniture collaboration that combines custom aluminum tables with handcrafted stone mosaic surfaces. The two venerable companies, both based in Virginia, have each recently celebrated 30 years of artisan production.

New Ravenna and McKinnon and Harris curated three tables to represent the collection, including the 45" Albemarle Square Dining Table, the 45" Mundy Round Dining Table, and the 60" x 30" Parsons Coffee Table.

The three mosaic patterns chosen for the collaboration debut are Raj, Rattan, and Marabel. The stones have been polished, tumbled, and honed to create texture and an interplay of light.

Will Massie, co-founder and CEO of McKinnon and Harris comments, "I’m in love with architectural stone and antiquities and mosaics are an extension of that. I love that age, patina, and use makes them more beautiful and interesting over time.”

Richard Walters, New Ravenna CEO remarks, "Both New Ravenna and McKinnon and Harris inhabit the world of functional art. We each have over three decades of honoring the beauty of hand-crafted production. Our collaboration is the outcome of mutual respect and our excitement to bring together the vision of two Virginia companies to create a first––mosaic surfaced tables with infinite bespoke possibilities."

Massie continues, "New Ravenna gives people the opportunity to work with their hands, mind, and heart in the same way we do at McKinnon and Harris. I love working with a company that is keeping hand craftsmanship and traditional skills alive and creating a community that is centered around art."

When Massie and Walters met, they quickly formed a friendship based on shared values and a life-long commitment to artisan craftsmanship, inspired by nature, art, and local communities of talented craftspeople.

A collaboration between these two Virginia-based brands is a natural evolution of their mutual respect. The tables are available in McKinnon and Harris's 21 finish colors and mosaic patterns can be chosen from New Ravenna's entire gallery of designs or a completely bespoke creation. The tables are available to order at McKinnon and Harris showrooms and at
