Turnaround Consultant Says U.S. Furniture Mfg. on the Rise

A new report from Greensboro, N.C.-based turnaround consultant Anderson Bauman Tourtellot Vos indicates the U.S. furniture manufacturing sector is on the upswing.
Significant findings include that with Asian labor costs rising, U.S.-based suppliers who can serve customers quickly have an increasing advantage.
Challenges identified include the need for the home furnishings sector to capture an increasingly younger consumer's attention via social media and the Internet; and the need to attract young talent to the industry.
