OMI Launches Organic Sleep Design Trade Program

Luxury organic sleep products manufacturer OMI has launched a design trade program that allows qualified professionals to obtain trade pricing with no minimum order on the company’s website. The move extends the company’s reach into the growing, professional design trade segment.

Under the new program, design professionals, architects and home stagers receive dedicated concierge service and free in-home, white-glove mattress delivery. Program participants can request a free sleep consultation for their clients as well, to assist with selecting the perfect mattress, foundation and top-of-bed products, to suit each client’s specific needs. The risk-free program also offers consumers a 90-day comfort guarantee, for the peace of mind trade professionals need when procuring and recommending products for discerning clients.

“Because of our selective retail distribution, our world-class organic luxury products are perfectly suited for design trade professionals offering their clients exclusive, category-leading products - something they cannot see on every retail floor,” said Jeff Bader, chief executive officer of OMI. “The design trade is one of the fastest-growing segments of the home furnishings business, and this program is an excellent way for us to reach new customers and form new partners. Once accepted for membership, design professionals can shop directly on our website and obtain exclusive trade pricing – we’ve made the program incredibly simple, yet also comprehensive.”

Bader said mattresses purchased through the new program carry the same 20-year warranty and 90-day comfort guarantee as those sold through other distribution channels, and all mattresses are hand-made to order at the company’s California-based Eco-Factory. The program was developed in conjunction with key trade professionals who work with OMI.

“Designers are attracted to our certified organic differentiator, hand-made quality and commitment to social and environmental responsibility, not to mention LEED-credit eligibility,” Bader said. “With more than 80 percent of U.S. families already purchasing organic products for their homes, introducing organic sleep is simple.”

The design trade program is being launched in tandem with OMI’s revamped website, www.omimattress.com, which is aimed at consumers who are researching and shopping for organic products online.
