Customatic, Mantua, Expand Partnership

Adjustable bed supplier Customatic and manufacturer of innovative bed frames Mantua are expanding their partnership and will merge Customatic’s international manufacturing, product innovation and design expertise with Mantua’s domestic production, warehousing, sales and marketing capabilities.

As part of the partnership agreement, Mantua and Customatic will combine showrooms at the Winter Las Vegas Market to highlight the vast array of sleep solutions the partnership can provide to customers.

The two companies have been business partners since 2010 and have been selling adjustable beds domestically under the Rize® brand name.

The shared showroom, located at C-1428 in the World Market Center, will be expanded to 10,000 square feet to accommodate both product lines. The expanded space will allow Customatic and Mantua to showcase an expansive line of new products and will feature an innovation lab to highlight the latest bedding technologies to enhance the sleep experience.

The innovation lab will give retail buyers an opportunity to explore how products are designed and made, as well as a glimpse at products that are in development.

“We are excited to extend our partnership with Mantua,” said Phil Sherman, president of Customatic. “We are constantly searching for ways to effectively meet the needs of an ever-changing and demanding marketplace. Our partnership with Mantua allows us to provide the market with a total solution from customer-centric design to manufacturing to sales and marketing to fast fulfillment to best in class post-sales service.”

The partnership will include an expansive array of products and services including bed frames, adjustable beds, mattresses and the Inspire Design line of bedroom furnishings, along with new innovations upon which the companies are currently collaborating.

“This is an exciting opportunity for both companies,” said David Jaffe, president of Mantua. “This partnership allows us to provide the competitive market with a totally integrated business model, leveraging international and domestic resources. Immediately, we will be significantly extending our product line to give more choice to our customers.

“Furthermore, it allows our customers to take advantage of both container direct import and less-than-container domestic fulfillment programs in a unified, seamless manner,” Jaffe added.
