Bernards, Bauhaus Move to Larger High Point Showrooms

Case goods and occasional furniture resource Bernards Furniture Group and upholstery manufacturer Bauhaus Furniture Group are moving to larger High Point Market showrooms in the newly renovated Atrium on Main, 430 S. Main St.

Both companies are owned by the Daniel Lim family, which acquired the Atrium building last year.

For Bernards, the new 27,758 square foot showroom is about 60% larger than its previous International Home Furnishings Center space, allowing Bernards to display its full assortment of master and youth bedrooms, as well its entire assortment of casual and formal dining products.

In addition, 5,000 square feet of the showroom will be dedicated to highlighting 24 new three-pack occasional table collections, in addition to existing occasional groups.

“We are very excited about this move, not only because of the additional showroom space it provides for our new products and buyer amenities, but for the additional hospitality the Atrium will offer to our dealers,” said Daniel Lim, president of Bernards and CEO of the Lim family companies.

The new Bauhaus showroom is 20,000 square feet, about 25% percent larger than its previous showroom in Furniture Plaza.

In addition to showcasing new product, the additional space provides room for a full range of amenities essential to buyers during market, including a Design Center with more than 400 fabric swatches for customers to coordinate their orders. Doubling as a buyer lounge, it includes drinks, snacks, counter-height work tables, lounge chairs and charging stations.

“Not only does our new showroom provide a fresh new canvas to display our growing product line, the Atrium offers new amenities for our customers that are second to none, including a new gourmet coffee shop in the Atrium lobby,” said Aaron Larry, senior vice president of sales and merchandising at Bauhaus.

In addition to the gourmet coffee shop that will be open to buyers throughout market, renovations to the Atrium include fresh exterior and building signage. Additional amenities include free shuttle service, a buyer lounge, and a business center with free Wi-Fi access.

Bernards and Bauhaus are planning a ribbon-cutting and grand opening party on Friday, April 21 from 5-8 p.m. In addition, dealers will have a chance to enter a drawing for a two-year lease on a new Mercedes-Benz. The winner will be selected following the conclusion of Market.
