Borkholder Honors Four Dealers Who Contributed to Growth

On the heels of a dealer appreciation event hosted by parent company Kountry Wood Products at its Nappanee, Ind., headquarters summer, Borkholder Furniture representatives have been busy crisscrossing the country to recognize dealers who contributed to the company’s significant growth last year.

The company honored four long-time dealers for their commitment and dedication to the brand, said Tom Halvorsen, vice president.

“Everyone here at Borkholder Furniture appreciates the business and support we receive from the retailers we serve every day,” said Halvorsen, vice president. “Sometimes though, we think it’s simply time for a more formal ‘thank you’ from our team.”

Presentations were made to executives at FurnitureLand South, High Point, N.C.; Birchwood Furniture Galleries, Calgary, Canada; Farham’s Furniture, Casper, Wyo.; and Pedersen’s Furniture, Santa Rosa, Calif.

“We value our relationships with every one of these retailers and are grateful to count them among our family of Borkholder dealers,” Halvorsen said.

The dealers received a “timely” gift -- handsome clocks featuring plaques that read: “In appreciation of your commitment to the success of Borkholder Furniture.”

“These visits remind me of the ‘old days’ in the furniture industry, when seriously investing in simply appreciating the customer was the norm, not the exception,” said Halvorsen. “It harkens back to what our industry was like many years ago, when time was devoted to building, and celebrating, real relationships.”
