Becara, Dupuis to Show at High Point Market

Two international furniture and accents companies plan to show at the Spring Hight Point Market in the Radio Building.

Sister companies Becara and Dupuis Creative Studio will introduce their products to the U.S. at the Market. The companies are part of GS Group, which owns and manages a portfolio of luxury brands and projects in the Middle East, Asia, Europe, Colombia and in Mexico, where the company is based.

Becara is a notable brand in Europe, founded by  Begoña Zunzunegui in Spain, in 1964. The company’s line includes a wide array of accent furniture and home accessories.

Many designs are inspired by the decorative antiques Zunzunegui sourced for her first retail store in Madrid.

“High Point Market is our entry point to the U.S. buyer,” says Alejandro Holschneider, CEO. “Today’s focus is to expand our reach by offering a distinctive line of products to a new design savvy audience.”

Becara’s 5,000-square-foot, dedicated showroom will be located on the fifth floor of the Radio Building.

Dupuis Creative Studio will occupy another 4,000-square-foot space in the building’s lower level. Dupuis is a curated collection of modernist furniture designs and will be displayed in an art gallery-styled environment designed by Alexander Diaz Andersson, creative director.

With Dupuis Creative Studio, Andersson will highlight an offering of chairs and tables, emphasizing limited edition items produced by craftsmen in Mexico. Dupuis Creative Studio was formed to introduce rising, Mexico-based designers in a collective format.

The Dupuis brand is geared toward interior designers, boutique retailers and hospitality clients.
