Habersham Takes a Break from High Point

As part of a long-term strategy designed to further expand its custom capabilities, Habersham is taking a temporary leave from the High Point Market beginning with next month’s event.

The Toccoa, Ga.-based company has shown in Market Square for 34 years. Habersham does plan to return to the Market in the future.

"The High Point Market has been an integral part of Habersham's history and success, so our decision to leave temporarily wasn't an easy one," said Matt Eddy, CEO. "Over the years, our focus has continued to evolve from handcrafted furniture into the custom furniture and cabinetry arena and we have some exciting plans in the works to significantly expand and diversify these offerings. To reach these new goals—without ever losing sight of our current dealer/designer needs, or sacrificing the quality craftsmanship and service commitments that are our hallmarks—we felt it important to redirect all of our resources back to our Georgia headquarters for the short term. We definitely plan to return to High Point."

Among the new initiatives is a planned October 2015 introduction of new premium custom kitchen and bath cabinetry line that represents a new market focus for Habersham. The new line will include a range of trend-driven, frameless cabinetry styles with a wide range of custom options.
