Interior Design Summit Sets Agenda

For interior design professionals who want to thrive in today’s marketplace, Design Success University has created its 2nd annual Interior Design Summit to be held May 29-30 at the Ritz-Carlton in Denver.

Created by DSU’s Gail Doby and Erin Weir, Interior Design Summit combines a series of interactive, business-focused workshops led by recognized professional interior designers with in-depth learning from experts in the fields of licensing and product development, business software, law, business and personal finance, and business coaching. The 12 presenters at this year’s Summit will provide attendees with targeted, actionable skills for immediate integration into their businesses.

Keynote presenters are:

Keith Granet, CEO of DesignersAxis and president of Granet & Associates, is an authority in licensing and product development in the interior design industry, Granet has helped celebrity designers like Barbara Barry, Thom Filicia, Timothy Corrigan and others build successful licensing programs. Granet’s DesignersAxis software, developed with Studio Webware, connects clients, designers, architects, showrooms and manufacturers in a cloud environment allowing for greater efficiency.

Joni Vanderslice, owner and president of J Banks Design Group, will share best practices for growing a profitable firm while enjoying a successful family life and being a community leader. Vanderslice received the 2013 ASID Dora Gray Award for Outstanding Designer of the Year. Her leadership and visioning abilities procured the firm’s titles as 2012 & 2009 Southeast Designer of the Year and the 2013 Gold Key Award for Outstanding Hospitality Design – Best Resort category.

Lance Haeberle, CTO and founder, Studio Designer + DesignersAxis;

Drue Lawlor, FASID, director of coaching, Design Success University;

Eliot Lewis, lead technical consultant, Studio Support;

Kimberly Merlitti, owner, KMM Consulting;

Bobbie Robertson, CEO, Bobbie Robertson Coaching, Inc.;

Three course tracks are offered at the two-day summit. Track 1, designed first-time attendees covers foundations in productivity, team alignment, delegational strategies, and business vision implementation. Track 2 provides advanced coursework from business and leadership experts. Track 3 is a one-day session recommended for bookkeepers, business managers, operations managers, expeditors and project managers.
